Saturday at Dillon Motor Speedway was a long and cold one.
Tryson has fallen in love with the track and picked up speed everytime he goes out. Our main goals for the weekend were to gain seat time, learn the track, and keep learning this Legend car. He’s accomplished all three.
Qualified 20th out of 34 cars which sent him to the front of the B-Main, which meant more of that ever-so-valuable seat time. He started inside the top-5, got shuffled back on the initial start, tangled with our teammate a little later on, and somehow worked his way back up to finish 8th. All in 20 laps .
8th wasn’t quite enough to lock us into the A-Main but Tryson learned a lot just by watching his Race Driven Performance teammates compete.
We’re back at the track today for the third and final day of the New Year’s Bash. And it’s almost a story of same song, different verse.
Tryson has gotten in a practice session and once again qualified 20th. We’re heading back to the B-Main with our eyes set on one of those top three transfer spots.
The action is live on Racing America at 2pm ET!
