Charlotte Motor Speedway - SSO Round 5

PEP III Racing PR

Finally got the No. 5 car dialed in by Round 5, now we focus on getting the driver where he needs to be.

Walking into Summer Shootout we knew there would be some growing pains and a learning curve for all of us, after all we put a kid who had only been in the car less than 9 months out there with the best in the country in a car that people deem as 'the hardest thing to drive.'

Truthfully, we didn't quite know what to expect. We put our focus on setting attainable goals that showed progress and were mostly centered around learning the car and the importance of race craft. This sport will build some of your best moments, but it will humble you just as quickly. And it will teach you some of life's biggest lessons that extend far beyond holding a steering wheel, and that's why we continue to show up week after week. These kids are learning things a whole lot bigger than racing every time they show up to these tracks.

We're moving on to round six tonight with an idea of what we can do to build off of our 6th place finish last night. Tune in to see what Tryson can do in another stacked field of Chargers at 6pm ET live on FloRacing!
